Filled with the spirit of Findhorn, we are creating a book with beautiful images, inspiring interviews and stories as well as previously unpublished archive material from the early years. One lasting memento of our journey from one trailer in a corner of a cold caravan park to a world-renowned eco-village, and beyond. A community book, to celebrate 50 years and the ‘Spirit of the Future’.
The Book Project is making great progress!
Stories and photos, CDs and lots of emails are floating in from our community and from all over the world. There is lots of (mostly volunteering) work done already by the team and of course more still in front of us; so if you are able to help, contact Adriana.
We had received a first sponsoring in December, and we hope this will inspire more donators, sponsors and (unsecured) loan givers to help the project.
If you can support in this way, please contact Angus Marland email: angus123 @ mac.com (without spaces)
Content book: We work with the three 'foundations' of our community, as the thread of the book:
- Spirituality / Be still and listen (Eileen)
- Work is Love in Action (Peter)
- Co-creation with the Intelligence of Nature (Dorothy)
Beside this we will follow the decades, from the start at 1962 into the future; reflecting our growth in those 50 years from family-group-community towards village-town-city.
Wonderful contribution are flowing in, in text as well as in image. It is a rich feeling to work on our history!
We are self-publishing this community book, with contributions from current and former community members. The community’s and all ex/re-members’s involvement through photos, stories and information has been very much appreciated; thank you to all who contribute! The book is planned be ready this spring and to have 120 pages, 21 x 28 cm and will be printed at The Park at our eco-printer. This will be a must have for ‘Findhorn’s world-wide family.
