At the Community Meeting on the 5th May, the subject was Community Housing - How can we create housing for ourselves in a way that embodies the higher purpose of our community? The NFA Council, Duneland, Ekopia and Eco-Village Partnership (formerly CDC) have all been looking into ideas like co-housing, housing cooperatives, and housing associations. These are examples of social and economic structures that focus on housing as a community resource. This meeting provided information on these options, gave space for feedback, and seeded the active engagement of community members who are interested in new housing. The meeting was part of the NFA & FF's Building Community initiative and a follow-up to a presentation by Fabien Barouch & Gordon McAlpine at an Open Space community meeting on 3rd March.
