Diverse people and activities continue to be drawn to the Findhorn Foundation Community, and now is the time for these threads to start weaving themselves into a rich new tapestry.

We envision an inspiring community which embraces:

  • Awareness of the presence of God in all aspects of our lives;
  • Relationships with each other and all people in the suurrounding district that are marked by love, compassion, integrity, justice, tolerence and cooperation;
  • Living lightly on the Earth, in tune with natural rhythms and processes;
  • Enjoying a simple high-quality lifestyle, rich in human relationships and culture, rather than material goods;
  • A economy based on the ideal of right livelihood;
  • Diversity of race, ethnicity, colour, religion, abilities, age, gender and sexual orientation;
  • Ecological, economic, social, cultural and spiritual sustainability.

Our task is now to bring these ideals into concrete reality. the Council aims to empower the Association to provide functions and services such as:

  • Economic development assistance, eg cooperative buying and marketing, a shared office for Association businesses, an advice service for small businesses, and an Association Credit Union;
  • Coordinated planning and management of the land next to Findhorn Bay on which many members liev in order to provide better services to the growing community;
  • A free conciliation service;
  • Family, health, education and other social services;
  • Coordination of arts and celebrations;
  • Links with the local district, including cooperation in economic development, education, health, social services, the arts and other areas.
