Hello everyone! I've been coming to the Findhorn Foundation more or less regularly for over 20 years and now arrived in late December 2006 to stay "indefinitely"… (whatever that means eventually)

My main calling is personal & spiritual development and the healing arts. I offer what I simply call "holistic facilitation", an eclectic mix of counselling, coaching, hypnotherapy, energy work & healing, depending on the needs of the client. You can find more information on www.holistic-facilitation.com.

I also work as a graphic designer & web producer, and as an Apple Mac support specialist I provide people and organisations with professional advice in regards to hard- & software and workflow optimisation (how German is that!). I decidedly wouldn't call myself an "IT person", though. I rather see myself as an "advanced user", more concerned with how people (even technophobes) can use the technology than with the technology itself.

Until I find the time to put up a more appropriate bio here, below please find an excerpt from one of my own websites:

I was born on Sunday, 12 February 1967 (for the astrologically inclined: at 2.40 CET in Hamburg, Germany). With regular out-of-body experiences as a child, I developed an interest in the so-called "paranormal" from a very early age. I tried to learn as much about the wider areas of consciousness as possible, travelling to alternative & spiritual communities all over the world, studying with many different teachers. For over 20 years now, parallel to my "normal" life, I've enjoyed numerous trainings in therapy and personal & spiritual growth – among them Hypnotherapy, Core Transformation, Gestalt, Self Relations Therapy, Core Energy Management – and various systems of energy work, from Reiki and Spiritual Healing to more shamanic forms. I'm also a certified NLP-Master in the German Association of NLP and have been registered as a hypnotist in the American Board of Hypnotherapy for over ten years. (My main trainers in this area include Greta Mildenberg, Roger Vaisey, Robert Dilts, Judith DeLozier and Stephen Gilligan.)
My professional career has been equally varied: After my alternative service as a paramedic (in lieu of our compulsory military service), I toured Germany and the UK as a musician and later as a tour-manager for various bands. As a state-certified merchant in foreign and wholesale trade, I also gained a solid business background, working as a sales consultant, software specialist and international distributor support for major companies. Fortunately, I've always been able to use my artistic talents in a commercial context, be it as a writer & editor for leading movie & entertainment guides or a graphic designer for some of Germany's biggest online portals. More than just providing a wide range of experience in different areas of the business world (and insights into its many dysfunctions), the most important ability these careers have taught me is to compassionately understand and be with people from all walks of life.
Since 1996 I've been working as a self-employed counsellor & coach for individuals, couples and business teams, with a strong focus on mediation. The overlighting theme closest to my heart, though, is "Healing": to empower people holistically and support them on their spiritual path – something I don't want to be financially dependent on, so I still try to keep my graphic & sound design business as a healthy balance. In 2002, my own journey took me to England, where I've mostly worked at The College of Psychic Studies in London, an educational charity established in 1884, that runs regular classes, workshops and lectures in the field of personal, psychic & spiritual development and healing.

I'm actually a little bit shy when it comes to introducing myself to "strangers", so if you see me in the CC or somewhere - Please just say Hi! :-)

All the best,
---Michael
